Gaming Summer Camp
PLEASE ENROLL ONLY ONE CHILD AT A TIME. All enrollment must be done online. If you have a store credit you wish to use so you cannot enroll here, please contact us.
Each week this Summer, from June 17th through August 2nd, you can choose to enroll your children in either Boardgaming, Dungeons & Dragons, or Magic: the Gathering camp.
-Our Camps are for gamers aged 8-18. Camp will run weekly, Monday through Friday, from 2pm-5pm and will take place at isle of Gamers, located at 2770 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA. Our phone number is 408-985-7655.
-Cost of the Camps include a snack from our snack stock and bottle of water, each day. Parents concerned about their children's diet should send the snack from home.
-Campers may be dropped off starting at 1:55pm and must be picked up no later than 5:10pm. Campers aged 14+ may stay past that time without parental supervision.
All sessions are run by Teachers/School Aides that have extensive experience with neurotypical and Special Needs kids. We are an inclusive Game Space and actively welcome gamers who are LGBTQ and those with ASD. Parents, Therapists and Aides are welcome to be here for the kids that need that support.
For all games we will teach Gamer Etiquette, Strategy and Creative Thinking.
If you have any questions not answered by the information below, please feel free to contact me, Anna Cebrian, Founder and CEO of Illusive Comics & Games, LLC and Isle of Gamers.

• Dungeons & Dragons
D&D will have a ratio of 1 Teacher per 6 Kids, except for the final week of Co-D&D which will be 1:5. Each week we will run adventures we have not previously run for Camps or Seasonal D&D. Cost of the camp includes all gaming materials needed- a set of Dice, a Dice Bag, and Minis to keep.
>Intro Level: Gamers will start with pre-made characters and learn about dice-rolling, what a Dungeon Master does, how to follow a story and work with other players to go on a journey that will be directed by their Camp Teacher. Gamers will get to create their own character if they would like.
>Intermediate Level: Gamers roll a character and each Intermediate Week go on increasingly more challenging adventures.
>Practice Becoming a Dungeon Master: DM: Diplomacy Matters - asking questions and questing answers; create a world together! Each person in a group of four will take turns DMing a collaborative adventure throughout the week. The first day is brainstorming day, where you each decide what scenario you would like to create, and how they would all fit together in a story. This is for Intermediate gamers. Each attendee will get to be the Game Master for one day. The Teacher will co-GM as needed.
• Magic: the Gathering
Trading Card Games helps kids work on their math and strategy skills! Cost of camp includes all of the gaming materials provided in each level.
>Beginner Level: Participants will be taught the basics of the world's most popular trading card game in a casual and friendly environment. They will also learn deck building, tournament etiquette, and strategy. Attendees will receive Demo Decks and participate in a Sealed Event on the 4th day of camp. Campers get to keep all the Demo Decks and cards from the Sealed Event (which includes 6 packs of the latest set of Magic).
>Intermediate/Advanced Level: Higher level strategies will be the focus here. We will explain the different formats of decks and run a variety of events. Attendees will receive a Planeswalker Deck to game with, and participate in a Sealed Event on the 4th day of camp. Campers get to keep their Planeswalker Deck and the cards from the Sealed Event (which includes 6 packs of the latest set of Magic).
STRICT RULES OF CONDUCT:
- For D&D- no attacking other characters. The gamers and their characters should always play together, not at odds.
- No throwing, cursing, or yelling (except out of joy)
- Attendees that have a difficult time moderating their emotions should have their aide or parent attend the sessions with them.
- Missed days cannot be made up by attending another group.
- Any act of violence will lead to immediate ejection from the group and there will be no refunds. Any verbal abuse will receive a single warning and a parent/guardian will need to attend for the remainder of the session.
- We know that it can be emotionally involving for some, but these are games. The most important thing is that everyone is having fun.
- Gamers should stay with their Teacher in the shop and not wander around interacting with non-Campers and non-Staff.
EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS END MARCH 15TH.
